The History and Evolution of IPL
The Indian Premier League, commonly known as IPL, is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India. It was established in 2007 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and has since become one of the most popular and lucrative cricket leagues in the world. The league was inspired by the success of other domestic T20 leagues, such as the English County Championship and Australia’s Big Bash League.
